What a domain's certificate history tells you before you buy

Certificate transparency logs reveal a domain's past: old subdomains, forgotten projects and how the name was used.

Every public TLS certificate ever issued for a domain is recorded in certificate transparency logs. That history is public, and it is one of the fastest ways to learn how a name was actually used before you buy it.

Old certificates reveal subdomains you will not find on the live site: staging servers, admin panels, old campaigns and forgotten projects. A name with years of clean, consistent use reads differently from one that hopped between parked pages and short-lived schemes.

Namelizer's Domain intelligence page shows this for any name in one screen: lifecycle dates from the registry, discovered subdomains, and the certificate history. You type the domain and read the timeline.

Use it as context, not as a verdict. A busy history is not automatically bad, and a clean one is not a guarantee. It is one signal next to availability, price and trademark screening - all of which are one click away in the same app.
